FM27 on PC and Mac is the only version with the Free Trial and Launch Preview and the only one sold before launch. FM27 Mobile and FM27 Touch come with a subscription rather than a purchase, and each version has its own page. SI warns that the licensed experience varies by platform and edition. SI said on Oct 27 that its next deep dives would cover FM27 Console, FM27 Touch and FM27 Mobile; as of Nov 1, 2026 none had been published, so the exact differences between the versions are not yet known.

Is FM27 on Nintendo Switch?

No. SI said on Sep 25, 2026 that FM27 will not be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox One S or Xbox One X, a decision taken to focus on "maximising the game's quality" across the remaining platforms. In Football Manager 26, FM26 Touch reached Switch on Dec 4, 2025; FM27 Touch is on Apple Arcade only.

SI's statement names "Nintendo Switch" and says nothing about Switch 2. No Switch 2 version is announced anywhere SI or SEGA publishes as of Nov 1, 2026, and any report of one is a rumor until they say so.

PS5 and Xbox

FM27 Console runs on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox handheld devices, digitally from Nov 10, 2026, with a physical PS5 edition on Nov 20, 2026. SI lists no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version, and there is no console pre-purchase and no console Launch Preview. Price, controls and Game Pass on console are on FM27 Console.

PC and Mac

FM27 runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and on macOS 13 or later, on Apple M1 or Intel Macs, and Steam lists no Linux version. Steam sells one package for both Windows and Mac. The minimum and recommended parts are on System Requirements. Steam Deck had no compatibility rating for FM27 as of Nov 1, 2026.

Xbox handhelds

SI lists both FM27 (through the Xbox PC app) and FM27 Console for "Xbox handheld devices". SI does not name a model. On a Windows handheld, the Xbox PC app version is the PC game, so it carries the PC requirements.

Phones and tablets

There are two ways to play on a phone, and neither is sold on its own. FM27 Mobile is exclusive to Netflix on iOS and Android, so it needs a Netflix membership. FM27 Touch is part of Apple Arcade on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV and needs that subscription. There is no Android version of Touch.

Crossplay and cloud saves

Steam lists "Cross-Platform Multiplayer" for FM27, and the Microsoft Store's Game Pass listing names "Xbox Live cross-gen multiplayer", but as of Nov 1, 2026 SI has not said which platforms play together, in Shuffle Draft or in online careers. In Football Manager 26, FM26 Console had cross-play between Xbox and PS5 in Online Career.

Cloud saves are listed on Steam (Steam Cloud) and on the Microsoft Store (Xbox cloud saves). FM27 Touch syncs a career across Apple devices. Bringing an older career forward is on Save Carry Over.

Game Pass and subscriptions

FM27 and FM27 Console are on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one, with Game Pass on console for FM27 Console. FM27 Mobile comes with Netflix and FM27 Touch with Apple Arcade. PlayStation Plus is not announced. The details are on Game Pass.
