Yes, you can bring your Football Manager 26 or Football Manager 2024 career into FM27: Sports Interactive (SI) says FM27 will display an option in the start screen to carry over save progress from the previous two titles, which are FM24 and FM26 because Football Manager 25 was never released, as long as the save is on that computer or in the platform's cloud save storage. Saves started in FM27's own Launch Preview, free or paid, continue into the full game without starting again. On Apple Arcade, FM27 Touch continues saves from past Touch games. What SI has not said is just as important: it has not described what a carried-over career keeps (its exact data, or how it fits FM27's new database), so the details below stick to SI's words.

Do Launch Preview saves carry over to the full FM27?
Yes. Any save created in FM27 before launch continues into the paid Launch Preview from Nov 3 and into the full game from Nov 10. SI's Oct 21 news post puts it as carrying over "without the need to start again". Game Pass players continue theirs through the subscription. If you play the free period and only buy later, the save waits for you. See Free Trial and Launch Preview.
One caveat comes from the build, not the save. SI says the Launch Preview "may contain data that does not, at this time, accurately reflect real world data" and that some club and player assets may be missing. SI has not said whether a save started on the preview database picks up later data changes, so a career begun in the preview may keep the preview's data.
Can I continue my FM26 save in FM27?
Yes, according to SI. The FM27 start screen offers the carry-over, and SI names the condition: the FM26 save has to be on the computer you play FM27 on, or in the platform's cloud save storage. Steam lists Steam Cloud for FM27, and the Microsoft Store listing for the Game Pass product lists Xbox cloud saves.
SI calls it carrying over "save progress." It has not published whether that brings your whole world (clubs, squads, newgens), or your manager's career and history into FM27's new database. Until SI or a named guide describes it, that is not known as of Nov 1, 2026. See Football Manager 26.
Can I import an FM24 save into FM27?
Yes, on the same terms. Football Manager 2024 is the other of "the previous two titles," so a career from the last game on SI's old engine can come across from the start screen. That matters to players still on FM24, who are among those SI developer Antony Farley told FourFourTwo the free period is for. See Football Manager 2024.
In Football Manager 26, the offer was the same two-game reach: FM26 could carry over saves from Football Manager 2023 and Football Manager 2024. FM23 drops out of the list in FM27.
