When does FM27 Console come out on PS5 and Xbox?
The digital release is Nov 10, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox, the same day as every other version: SI says all digital versions release on Nov 10 at one global moment, which SEGA Japan lists as Nov 11, 2026 in Japan. The hour is not announced as of Nov 1, 2026; see Release Date and Launch Time.
The physical PlayStation 5 edition follows on Nov 20, 2026. In South Korea, SEGA Publishing Korea opened pre-orders for the PS5 disc on Oct 14, 2026. SI and SEGA have announced no physical Xbox edition.
How much is FM27 Console?
As of Nov 1, 2026, SI and SEGA have not published a console price in dollars, pounds or euros. Two prices are known. In Japan, SEGA sells both FM27 and FM27 Console at ¥7,990 including tax. In South Korea, the PS5 physical edition is ₩69,800. Japan's single price for both editions says nothing certain about parity elsewhere. The PC and Mac price, $59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99, is on Price and Editions.
Can you pre-order FM27 Console?
No. SI said on Oct 21, 2026 that pre-purchasing for FM27 Console "will not be available", so the 10% pre-purchase discount is PC and Mac only. Console players could wishlist the game from Oct 29. The only console pre-order announced anywhere is the physical PS5 edition in South Korea.
Is there an FM27 Launch Preview on console?
No. The Launch Preview, free from Oct 29 to Nov 3 and paid from Nov 3 to Nov 10, is PC and Mac only. Console players start on Nov 10. Game Pass Ultimate members who want to play early can use the PC version through PC Game Pass; see Free Trial and Launch Preview.
FM27 Console on Game Pass
SI's launch post lists FM27 Console on day one "including Game Pass Console subscribers". Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can also play FM27 Console through the Microsoft Store or Xbox PC app. PlayStation Plus is not announced. In Football Manager 26, FM26 Console joined PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on Apr 21, 2026, five and a half months after launch. More on Game Pass.
How FM27 Console differs from PC
As of Nov 1, 2026, SI has not published what FM27 Console includes or leaves out. Its Oct 27 post said the next deep dives would cover FM27 Console, FM27 Touch and FM27 Mobile, and none had appeared by Nov 1. Two things are stated. The licenses differ: SI says the licensed experience varies by platform and edition. Steam lists full controller support for the PC game, DualSense included, so a controller is not a console-only way to play.
In Football Manager 26, loading a country's men's and women's leagues on Console, Touch and Mobile counted as two nations toward the save's limit. Whether FM27 Console keeps that limit is not stated.
Crossplay between PS5 and Xbox
In Football Manager 26, FM26 Console had cross-play between Xbox and PS5 in Online Career. For FM27, SI has not said which platforms play together, in Shuffle Draft or online careers, as of Nov 1, 2026.
FM26 Console background
Football Manager 26 Console came out on Nov 4, 2025 on Xbox and PS5, with Game Pass, as the first console edition made with Unity. It joined Xbox Game Pass Premium on Apr 13, 2026 and PlayStation Plus on Apr 21, 2026. Whether an FM26 Console career carries into FM27 Console is not stated; SI's carry-over answer covers the PC and platform cloud saves of the previous two titles. See Save Carry Over and Football Manager 26.
