Screens, ultrawide and 1440p

2:45 FM27 supports ultrawide monitors, with three scaling modes in Preferences. The Small, Medium and Large layout options are available on monitors at 1440p (QHD) or above. FM27 also adds larger font sizes and an option to remove some interface animations, in an accessibility section of Preferences with a color-blind mode. More on Interface and Navigation.

Controller support

Steam lists full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense, for the PC and Mac game. FM27 Console on PS5 and Xbox is built around a controller; see FM27 Console.

Does FM27 run on Steam Deck?

Not rated yet. As of Nov 1, 2026, Steam shows no Steam Deck compatibility rating for FM27. In Football Manager 26, Steam rates FM26 "Playable" on Steam Deck, noting that some interface text is not legible, while the default controls and performance pass and an internet connection is needed for the first setup. There is no Linux version, so on Steam Deck the Windows build runs through Valve's Proton layer. Xbox handheld devices are listed for both FM27 and FM27 Console.

DRM and activations

Steam's notice says FM27 uses Denuvo Anti-tamper with a "5 a day machine activation limit". Steam also lists Steam Cloud and Family Sharing for FM27.

Languages and age ratings

Steam lists 20 interface languages for FM27, from English, French and German to Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese, while the Microsoft Store purchase listing says 19. FM27 is rated ESRB Everyone and CERO A. The full lists are on Languages and Age Ratings.
