International Management
FM27 lets national team managers create training plans during international camps, added after community feedback, and licenses the FIFA World Cup, Women's World Cup and Club World Cup; SI has published no deep dive on international management, so how international jobs work is presumed to follow Football Manager 26.
Football Manager 27's one announced change to international management is training: you can now create training plans with your international team during a camp, a feature Sports Interactive says was "added to FM27 following community feedback." The FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women's World Cup and FIFA Club World Cup are licensed, along with the German and Netherlands national teams. Beyond that, SI has published no deep dive on international management as of Nov 1, 2026, so how national team jobs work is presumed to follow Football Manager 26.

Can you manage a national team in FM27?
Yes, as far as SI's reveals show. The camp training feature only makes sense with international management in the game, and FM Scout writes that it should be there, while noting SI has not covered it in a deep dive. FM Scout also reports SI said the 2027 Women's World Cup is in the game and that every new feature works in the women's game; see Women's Football. The clip is lollujo's Oct 31, 2026 beginner's guide, where FM27 before launch offers a club, a nation, or both.
Training at international camps
During an international camp you can now set a training plan for the squad you called up. SI describes FM27's training as built around preparing for the next match rather than developing attributes. How the new training works is on Training, and how it feeds a team's grasp of your tactics is on Tactical Effectiveness.
Why international management matters this year
In Football Manager 26, international management was missing at launch. Miles Jacobson said in May 2026 that it would return as a free update, with "the full revamp" not ready at launch, and it came back in update 26.3.1 on May 26, 2026, with 47 of the 48 nations of the 2026 FIFA World Cup playable at first. SI has not said in so many words that FM27 has it at launch, but the camp training feature points that way. How the two games compare is on FM27 vs FM26.
Licensed competitions
SI's license list for FM27 names the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women's World Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, and the DFB (German) and Netherlands national teams. The full list is on Leagues and Licenses.
What is not known
As of Nov 1, 2026, SI has not said how international job offers, squad selection, call-up rules or the tournament calendar work in FM27, whether the "full revamp" Jacobson mentioned arrives in FM27, or whether managing a club and a nation at once changed.
